Germany · infrastructure & software
I'm Maurice, or Doxylamin most places online. Infrastructure is my day job: virtualisation, networking, mail, DNS, monitoring, single sign-on. The rest of the time I build for iOS, Android and the web, usually because I wanted an app that didn't exist yet.

Everything I build runs on hardware I look after myself: virtualisation, mail, DNS with DNSSEC, single sign-on, metrics and alerting, and backups I restore-test on a schedule. It's meant to be boring, and mostly it is.
I've helped run Enter The Void since 2016. It's a German gaming and tech community with its own game servers, Discord tooling, LAN parties and festival trips. A fair few of my projects started there.
Four things I actively build and maintain.
Festival crew coordination in one place: rides, camping spots, timetables, shared expenses, meetup pins and emergency alerts. Built after one too many weekends spent reconstructing who owes whom from a 400-message group chat. Free, and available in five languages.
A native Android TV app for watching live TV from your own Jellyfin server: full-screen HLS, D-pad channel zapping with a preview countdown, a proper EPG guide and favourites. Think waipu.tv, except the server is yours. Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Media3.
A damage meter and fight analyzer for AION2. It reads the game's network traffic on your PC, shows each player's damage live in an overlay and saves every fight for a replay and a skill-by-skill breakdown. It also has a compass that finds hidden cubes. Windows, written in C#.
A German gaming and tech community: free game servers on our own hardware, modding and technical help, events, and a Discord where someone is always around. I look after the infrastructure and the self-service tooling behind it.
Not a skills matrix, just what's in use right now. The app side changes with every project. The platform underneath it tends to stay put.
Email is best for anything that needs a reply. Everything else, take your pick.
People do impersonate me now and then. My TeamSpeak identity fingerprint is
UfYAU5UD0MLq/WrF2o+xhnYL+ac=, so compare it before you trust a "Doxylamin"
you meet there. On Discord, check the account ID 140541588915879936 rather
than the display name, which anyone can copy. Full contact details, including donation
addresses, are in contact.txt.
